Laktoferrin™ with Colostrum

€ 84.86

Laktoferrin™ with Colostrum provides purified lactoferrin in a base of colostrum, and is prepared with lysozyme. Colostrum contains immunoglobulins IgG, IgA, and IgM, nucleotides, gamma-interferon, orotic acid, enzymes, and vitamin A, E, and B12. Bovine colostrum is high in nutrients and antibodies. Hyperimmune bovine colostrum is collected from cows that have been vaccinated to produce specific antibodies that fight the bacteria that cause diarrheal disease. These antibodies appear in the colostrum that is collected as medicine. The hope is that these cow antibodies will help fight human disease. However, the cow antibodies don't seem to be absorbed well. So they might not be active in humans for many infections. Lactoferrin helps regulate the absorption of iron in the intestine and delivery of iron to the cells. It also seems to protect against bacterial infection, possibly by preventing the growth of bacteria by depriving them of essential nutrients or by killing bacteria by destroying their cell walls. In addition to bacterial infections, lactoferrin seems to be active against infections causes by some viruses and fungi. Lactoferrin also seems to be involved with regulation of bone marrow function (myelopoiesis), and it seems to be able to boost the body’s defense (immune) system.
